Project Overview, group work, partially credit for Ziyu Zhou, 2021
This project is going to talk with the border crossers alongside the US- Canada border. Salmons, which play important roles in the watershed ecosystem and enjoyed by citizens from both countries, could be the opportunity to let people from two countries cooperate toward water and salmon management.
However, two kinds of critical salmon species are facing extinct crisis because of the blocked access to spawning grounds, habitat degradation caused by dams and culverts, and poor marine survival. Therefore, the main idea of this project is to revive the ecosystem and human cooperation across the border through the rehabilitation of salmon habitats.
